• Earl Thompson President

    Earl joined Verathon in 2016, bringing more than 30 years of multi-industry and global leadership experience. He most recently served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Time Domain Business Unit with Tektronix/Danaher. Prior to joining Danaher, Earl held executive roles and senior leadership positions with Intermec Technologies and Agilent Technologies/Hewlett-Packard. He brings significant leadership experience in multiple functional areas including general management, marketing, business development, and product generation. Earl holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Washington State University and a MBA from Gonzaga University.

Management Team

  • Travis Bonner Vice President, USA Commercial Operations

    Travis is responsible for leading the US Commercial Team, which includes US Sales Leadership, National Accounts, Critical Care Sales, Patient Care Sales, and Clinical Specialists. He brings over 15 years of medical device sales experience into his leadership role with Verathon. Travis joined Verathon in 2004 as a Territory Manager. He quickly progressed into sales management, earning promotions to District Manager, Regional Manager, Area West Director, Area East Director, and then most recently to Vice President, US Commercial Team in 2019, where he joined the Executive Leadership Team. During his tenure with Verathon, he has relocated several times, moving across the country and now back to the east coast. He has been instrumental in successfully launching several new products during his tenure and most recently entered the Single-Use Bronchoscopy space with the launch of GlideScope® BFlex. Travis has his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Townson University.

  • John Bowers Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer

    John brings over 25 years of medical device experience to Verathon. He is responsible for leading the global commercial organization, setting commercial strategies that enable sustained sales growth and development globally. John has held executive roles with SonoSite, Northstar Neuroscience, Guidant, Eli Lilly and Kona Medical. He brings significant leadership experience in multiple functional areas including sales/commercial, marketing, business development and general management. John earned his MBA at Harvard University and holds a BA in Economics-Accounting from Gonzaga University.

  • Jeff Clark Vice President, Operations

    Jeff leads Verathon’s global manufacturing operations. He is responsible for developing the global supply chain design, internal material distribution, multi-country manufacturing operations and distribution of parts and medical device systems into the Americas, Europe, Asia, Middle East and rest of world. In addition, Jeff leads the global Technical Services business for Verathon. Jeff has more than 20 years of operations and engineering leadership experience. Prior to joining Verathon, Jeff has held leadership roles with organizations such as Ingersoll-Rand, Terex, Boeing and the United States Navy. Jeff holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautics from Embrey-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix.

  • Mark Humphrey Vice President, Customer & Commercial Operations 

    Mark has global responsibility for our Customer and Commercial Operations teams, as well as the Program Management Office (PMO). Mark joined Verathon in 2017, bringing over 35 years of leadership experience in manufacturing operations, field service, marketing, general management and continuous improvement. Prior to joining Verathon, Mark worked in the Test & Measurement industry for Tektronix/Danaher for most of his career, with his most recent role serving as the Sr. Director of Calibration Services. Mark holds a BS in Business and MBA from Marylhurst University.

  • Mary Moore Vice President, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance

    Mary joined Verathon bringing with her more than 25 years of experience in regulatory, quality assurance and government affairs in the medical device industry. Having previously held several executive-level and senior management positions, Mary most recently served as Senior Director, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance for FUJIFILM’s Endoscopy Division and as the Vice President of Regulatory, Quality, and Administration with FUJIFILM SonoSite, Inc. Previous to these positions, she held regulatory leadership positions of increasing responsibility with NeuroVista, Cardiac Dimensions, TriPath Imaging and ATL (now Philips). She holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Gonzaga University and a Master of Science in Engineering from the University of Washington.

  • Jamie Valliant
    Brenda Murphy Vice President, People

    Brenda brings over 25 years of global human resources experience to Verathon as the Vice President of People. She is responsible for leading the global human resources function including Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Employee Engagement, Organizational Development and Total Rewards. She develops the organization’s People Strategies that drive the employee experience and culture throughout Verathon. Brenda has held leadership positions with Ford Motor Company, Johnson and Johnson and Welch-Allyn. She brings a broad range of global leadership in multiple functional areas of Human Resources. Brenda earned her MBA at Lawrence Technological University and holds a BA from Michigan State University. She is also certified in LEAN business systems, Human Capital Strategy and Six Sigma.

  • Tracy Olson Vice President, Finance & Chief Financial Officer

    Tracy has worldwide responsibility for all aspects of Verathon finance, including planning, budgeting, reporting, and accounting. She helps drive top and bottom line financial performance and continued development of the financial organization to bring precision, clarity, predictability, and insight to the operations of the business. Tracy has more than 20 years of finance and leadership experience. Prior to joining Verathon, she served as VP of Global Finance, Operations and Service for Precor, a leading fitness equipment manufacturer. Tracy has held leadership roles for companies such as PwC, General Mills, Lang Manufacturing, and Goodrich Aviation Technical Services. She holds a BA in Business Administration from Seattle University, and an MBA from the University of Washington.

  • Tim Shauf Vice President & General Manager, Respiratory and Surgical Solutions

    Tim has a 20-year record of building global revenue and market share across the medical device, bio-tech, and pharmaceutical industries. With previous leadership roles at Covidien, Gilead Sciences, and GlaxoSmithKline, Tim has demonstrated expertise in developing new products and entering new markets as well as accelerating growth for existing products. He is responsible for the Verathon product portfolio that includes GlideScope video laryngoscopes and other surgical technology. Tim holds an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, and a BA in Spanish from Wake Forest University.

  • Jamie Valliant
    Jamie Valliant Vice President & General Manager, Imaging and Scanning Solutions

    Jamie brings 22 years of experience in the medical device industry, where he has held executive and senior roles at Leica Microsystems (a Danaher Company), Philips Healthcare, and General Electric Healthcare (GE). Prior to joining Verathon, Jamie was the General Manager of Americas Medical for Leica. Previous to this, he was the Vice President and General Manager for the Advanced Molecular Imaging business for Phillips and during his 19 years at GE he held positions in Engineering, Sales, Marketing and Product Management. Jamie brings significant leadership experience in multiple functional areas including general management, commercial, marketing, and product development. Jamie is responsible for the Verathon product portfolio that includes BladderScan, the industry leading bladder volume measurement system. Jamie earned his BSEE from Queen’s University in Canada.

  • James Lam Vice President, Asia Pacific Sales

    James has over 35 years working in the healthcare industry in the Asia Pacific. He was the pioneer to enter the China market in 1981 and lived in Beijing for 6 years working for Siemens AG building their medical division. James has worked for several US multi-national companies from regional marketing to regional executive management roles, which include Stryker, American Home Product, Boston Scientific, AGA medical, St. Jude Medical and Miramar Labs Inc. James gained vast management experience in both direct sales and distributor sales business models. James graduated from the University of Hong Kong Polytechnic and is based in Hong Kong.
