As the Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance, Mary has spent her entire 34-year career balancing business innovation, clinical diagnostic and therapeutic needs, and the regulatory framework with which the medical technologies are brought to the market.  In her role at Verathon, Mary has responsibility for attainment of global regulatory product and labeling approvals through quality management system compliance and post market surveillance. She is passionate about bringing novel innovations to the market that make positive, life-changing health improvement to patients around the globe.

Mary has spent her career with various small and large medical device companies that design and develop cutting edge diagnostic and therapeutic products for radiology, cardiology, and neurological applications. She started her career at Advanced Technology Laboratories (now Philips Healthcare) and in the past twenty years she has held various executive leadership positions where she has helped companies navigate complex, regulatory/clinical and compliance landscapes. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Gonzaga University and her Master of Science Engineering / Bioengineering from the University of Washington.

What are you most excited about for Verathon’s future?
Verathon has always and will continue to innovate in important niche markets, and I look forward to helping navigate the regulatory pathways that come along with the unique products and markets that we will enter.
 

How would you describe the perfect weekend?
As a Washington native, I am spoiled by the opportunities to do anything outdoors, typically with some contingent of my family – the blessing of being part of a very large Italian/Irish extended family who loves spending time together.
