Sontac^® gel pads are a unique ultrasound coupling medium that is placed directly on the skin of the patient. Gel pads are faster and easier to apply and remove than conventional ultrasound gel. With Sontac^®, there is no messy gel to wipe from the patient and instrument when the exam is finished. Each gel pad is individually wrapped in hygienic foil packaging, and one gel pad suffices for an entire exam, even if multiple scans are performed. Gel pads are stored in a convenient dispenser, so there is no more need to bother with boxes and bottles of gel - simply pull an individually packaged gel pad from the dispenser when you need to perform an exam.
